First Lego League/Robotics

Grade Level: 4-8
Purpose: First Lego League introduces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to children through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experiences through a guided, global robotics program.

Spelling Bee

Grade Level: 3-8
Purpose: A Spelling Bee is a competition in which contestants are asked to spell a broad selection of words with varying degrees of difficulty. Contestants must memorize the spellings of words as written in dictionaries and recite them accordingly.

Purpose: The University Interscholastic League, the main governing body for academic competition among public schools in the U.S. state of Texas sanctions district competitions in science for students up to 8th grade.

Purpose: Ready Writing, is a contest that builds upon student writing skills, and helps students refine their writing abilities by learning to write clearly and correctly a paper that is interesting and original.

Purpose: The focus of the Music Memory contest is an in-depth study of fine pieces of music literature taken from a wide spectrum of music genres to expose students to great composers, their lives and their music

Purpose: Basketball is available for all students who have the desire to compete in the coming season. Learn and showcase your skills with dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense and running plays. Build a cohesive team that takes the court with Harmony pride!

All students who have the desire to compete in the coming season in grades 5-8 are eligible to try out with parent/guardian permission. Learn and showcase your skills with dribbling, passing, running plays and scoring. Demonstrate your Harmony pride on and off the field!
